South River Contractors, Inc. was founded in 2019 in the State of Delaware. The owner, Bhawna Goel, had a lifelong passion for business. Her roots go back to Punjab State, India, charting a family history with a long line of successful construction and engineering entrepreneurship.

Bhawna’s great-grandfather built and operated a power utility company in 1960s. Her father is a civil engineer who spent his entire career building schools, manufacturing plants, and railway stations. It was her father’s dream to see his daughter follow in his footsteps. Bhawna attended the same college her father did, graduating with a degree in civil engineering. She is the third generation of her family to carry on this tradition.

After immigrating to the United States to establish a career, Bhawna held on to the dream of starting a business that would honor her roots by enhancing the built environment. Her company, SRC, offers flexible support for a wide range of construction tasks and management services to support revitalization and economic development in the National Capital Region. SRC has managed steady growth since its inception, deploying expert resources and prompt, efficient solutions despite operating through a challenging global pandemic.
